I created this blog a couple of months ago and it has taken me until today to find the courage to create a post!! "Who will want to listen to what I have to say and look at what I like to make?" is the question that has gone over and over in my head, so anyway here goes.

I live in Shropshire and love to make things, knitting, sewing, furniture restoration and more recently crochet as a result of attending classes with Jo at http://joeveryday19.blogspot.co.uk/. I was already  able to do a basic Granny Square and create blankets but never thought I would be able to master reading a crochet pattern, so after a couple of lessons with Jo, who makes things seem very simple and fun, I am on my way to making a lovely shawl with The Women s Institute Soft and Silky yarn, purchased from Hobbycraft on a 3 for 2 deal as I do like a bargain.

Now I will confess to another concern of mine that has made me procrastinate about beginning to blog - I am not very good at IT - so now I have worked out how to attach photos of the projects I have been working on lately I am going to be very brave and press the publish button.

So thank you for taking the time to drop in and hope to see you again soon x

March was a busy month my niece and my son's best friend both had baby boys so I made them a comforter each

and a knitted bear to look after them as they sleep

It was also my Mother In Laws birthday and I made her a fabric covered notebook and photo album to keep photo's of my first grandchild also born in March, I told you it was busy....

Here are some photo blocks I made for my daughter ...

a little late as she married 18 months ago but it was a nice present to give her for the birth of her baby

Here is the teddy bear I made for my grandchild (Ididnt know it was going to be a girl at the time), it is in Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino in duck egg blue and white, when I knew it was a girl I added a crochet heart to make it a bit girly.  Also here is the blanket I made for her, now my daughter is a bit fussy and could not find a pattern she liked with stars so she designed one!!!!!!

A close up of Teddy, his face looks a bit odd here but I assure you he is quite nice really

And finally my Elise shawl (it has grown quite a bit since this photo)

and my wool in a basket because I just like it........

My next confession, I created this post last Thursday evening and somehow lost it when trying to post, I was so upset I could not bring myself to try again until now after a lovely day in the garden and quite a lot of Rose wine.

So bear with me please, I promise to work hard on trying to improve my IT skills.

Bye for now
